HEALTHY HEART DIET

Heart-friendly diets play a variety of roles, including controlling blood pressure and cholesterol, monitoring insulin levels, and addressing other issues that impact the health of the heart and arteries.

The force of blood against the body's arteries is referred to as high blood pressure, or hypertension. The human body's cells contain the fatty material known as cholesterol. Elevations of both in the human body might be hazardous. Although they are the primary cause of heart attacks and strokes, there are no obvious symptoms or indicators that they have increased. Thus, they are referred to as the silent killers. It does not exhibit any symptoms, yet it might gradually deteriorate the cardiovascular system. It silently destroys the artery walls, increasing the risk of a heart attack or stroke. We follow a special Heart friendly Diet plan to control Blood pressure & Cholesterol, Diet plans for post Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) and post Mycardial Infaraction (Heart attack)

Some of the diet guidelines we follow to help you are:

  • Limit the amount of cooking fat (oil) to 10-15 grams (2-3 teaspoons) per day.
  • Steer clear of all refined carbohydrates as they also increase triglycerides and insulin levels.
  • Limit your consumption of all fried meals, whole milk, etc. For tea, coffee, curd, and paneer, use skimmed milk. Use cottage cheese instead of mayonnaise and processed cheese.
  • Make use of whole wheat or multigrain bread, whole grains and pulses, whole-wheat porridge, and whole grain cereals.
  • Include flax and fenugreek (methi) seeds in your diet.
  • Use white meat, such as chicken and fish. Reduce your intake of mutton, hog, and other organ meats including liver, kidney, and brain.
  • Make extensive use of fresh green fruits, veggies, and sprouts.
